Troy - Movie Dramas

Directed by Wolfgang Peterson, Troy was a Warner Brothers Pictures release in May 2004. Based off of Homer's epic poem, the screenplay was adapted by David Benioff. Troy stages the heart wrenching love saga between Helen, then of Sparta, and Paris, prince of Troy.

After learning of his wife's betrayal, King of Sparta Menelaus vows revenge on the entire nation of Troy, thus launching the famed thousand-ship fleet. Starring Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom, and Eric Bana.

Distributed by Warner Bros., the high budgeted film was disappointing in the box office, only returning $133 million, which led some to wonder whether larger budgets equal larger revenues.
