Underneath - General Movies

Underneath was released in the United States in April, 1995 and is based on a novel by Don Tracy. It was directed by Steven Soderbergh and produced by John Hardy. The movie stars Peter Gallagher, Joe Don Baker, Shelley Duval, Elisabeth Shue and Alison Elliott. It was distributed by Gramercy and grossed $536,000 in the States.

The story revolves around a man that comes home for his mother's marriage. Her new husband hires him as he romances the wife he left years ago. Unfortunately she has a new boyfriend that doesn't take well to him returning and he gets into trouble trying to deal with the boyfriend. The movie was nominated for best cinematography by the Independent Spirit Awards.
