The S80 is a 4-door luxury sedan built by
Volvo of Sweden and first introduced in 1998. The design departed from
Volvo’s well-known traditional box designs with the introduction of curves and more flowing lines. Continuing with
Volvo’s safety record, the S80 and subsequent generations have received some of the highest rated crash safety ratings. Some of the safety features include adaptive cruise control, a collision warning system, and brake support.
Power in the current generation is provided by a variety of engines including a 2.0L Flexifuel I5, a 2.4L I5 Turbodiesel, and even a 4.4L V8. Transmission options include a 6
speed automatic and manual.
