Weeds is a comedy on Showtime starring Mary-Louise Parker as Nancy Botwin a suburban mom who resorts to selling marijuana in her California neighborhood in order to pay the bills after her husband dies. The show debuted in 2005 and is entering its fourth season.
The show and star Mary-Louise Parker have been nominated and won many awards including a Golden Glove (Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical). While the first season saw Nancy as a regular suburban mom trying to make end meet by the show's forth season she had moved her family close to the Mexican border and began smuggling pot across the boarder.
