not making it easy

alexandra hedberg posted an article on - Feb 9, 2012, 1:54 pm
In order to not get too skillful I constantly try to challenge myself. Making it less comfortable when working has always been one of my way strategies ... but now it really was super hard.  The canvas is so broad that I can not stand with one foot on each side without risking to slide further down...

sketching with tape

Normally I don't sketch - I just attack - but with this canvas I felt I needed to plan a bit more. It's huge, costed quite some money (with expensive stretch frame and special canvas prepared with three layers of gesso) and took time to prepare... Another thing is that I can't be as tough with thi...

I'll be back with more information about the course when it's made public (don't tell anyone I told you ......

just checking that my studio is still there ...

alexandra hedberg posted an article on - Jan 23, 2012, 2:42 pm
Today I biked to the studio to water my plants and check that my studio is still there. And of course it was! I also checked my ongoing project that I just left in the middle when I travelled to Colombia - and it actually looked as promising as I remembered. Sometimes you return to see it wasn't as...
