I'm an US expatriate living in the Philippines with my wife Angelica. I used to think that civilization had come a long way from the oppressive religious, economic, and social systems of the Dark Ages; I now know that is a mere illusion. Serfs and peasants are now simply called constituents and consumers. I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore... so I'll be back after a 30 minute meditation.
