A month or so I was contacted by the good folks at Playboy to work on a few spots! This is the result. Super fast turn around, and a bit of visual play, since it began as a comic aesthetic, but was directed into a more painted look near the end. Figure drawing is so relaxing. It's just you and the model(s), a chunk of dirt, and paper. These are all from life averaging about 20 minutes. I completed this drawing for an advertisement as soon as I made it back from my residency. Tried to apply a few things I learned! Enjoyed it immensely!
Charcoal and ink on bristol 19x24. Thanks to studio mate Jenn Ayers for the reference.
