Make money selling unwanted books or DVDs on Amazon

The Frugaller posted an article on - May 6, 2010, 4:56 am
Living frugally is as much about living within your need as your means. Over the past 10 years or so, I have accumulated a plethora of books and DVDs that I have never read or watched. It wasn’t until a friend suggested that I sell the unused ones on Amazon that it dawned on me I could make some m...

Want a pay rise? Change jobs

The Frugaller posted an article on - May 5, 2010, 5:12 am
I am not afraid to change jobs. My grandfather always told me no matter how happy you are in your current job you should always keep an eye out for other opportunities in the market. Granted my resume (or CV in some parts of the world) looks like a patchwork quilt but it is perfectly stepped - from ...

1) Elance - this is a site I discovered a few months ago and that has been keeping me busy! At elance you can set up a profile and "bid" on jobs people have posted. If you get the job for the money you bid, and you deliver in the terms and timescales you said you would. You get the money. It is a ni...

Save money - savers beware

The Frugaller posted an article on - Apr 21, 2010, 3:10 am
Inflation is now at 3.4% that makes it bad news for savers. Any of the meagre gains wrestled out of the market in the last 18 months are likely to be KO-ed by the rise in inflation, the Times reports. Not that I save - heck, I'm too busy trying to pay debt down not stockpile funds in an under ...

I don't know about you, but I sense the prevailing wind on spending has changed. People are happier to be out going for dinner, spending on things they don't really need and generally keep the economy motoring. I have to admit that I am partly tempted to do the same myself. However, as muc...
