A group of knitters on Ravelry split up into groups, with the intention of creating homemade ornaments for each other. After 3 false starts, these mini Malabrigo stockings are what I eventually came up with.

I never intended to take the summer off, but that's exactly what happened!
Our little family PCS'd from our home of 5 years in Alexandria VA to the mid-west, a few weeks ago. Hubby is now stationed at Fort Riley Kansas, and we call Manhattan (Kansas) our new home.

I've been on a real binge lately - a money saving one! We recently ran out of both laundry and dishwashing detergent, and as always, I grit my teeth when I have to dole out cash to replace these products. My wonderful husband is spending a good part of his afternoon staining my new Kromski Fantasia today! The wheel itself is the hardest part since it's made from uber space technologic particle board *type* of wood... aka MDF. In any case, it's turning out gorgeously! Last night a whole slew of knitters attended Stitch-n-Pitch for the Washington Nationals vs Florida Marlins game. Part of the fun was being able to oogle yarns and supplies in a convention room set up for the event. Compared to last year, last night's event was light years better!

I'm not really a sock knitter but I couldn't resist these!
Slow but steady progress on the first of two Trellis socks I'm working on. I like the cuffs on my socks a bit on the short side so, instead of 4 pattern repeats for the cuff, I only worked one before starting the heel flap.

Practical use for a pot rackThis is only an estimate but, I think I ended up with about 60 yards. I wasted some yardage that was over-twisted, and ditched the effort to loosen it up.

A few of my most recent finished projects were both knit flat! I'm a huge fan of flat knitting, and using a whip or kitchener stitch to round them out :)

Over a year ago I completed a "bad dreds day sampler hat" using bits of yarn I had received from a Phat Fiber box. Alone, the poor hat languished, not unloved but never really worn either.
