Does he really need a one hour special just to say he's re-joining the Cavs?

Or

Is he doing this one hour program for charity so people don't give him crap when he goes to NY/NJ for the MONEY?
Johnathan T. Jul 7, 2010, 6:35 pm
I think he is staying with the Cavs, but I hope he goes somewhere else and makes next season more exciting than last.

USA!!!

It is hard to get more exciting than that (at least for soccer). It felt like the US would score at some point in the game, but I didn't expect them to wait until the 91st minute! I feel terrible for Slovenia, who lost to England at the exact moment the US scored the goal that kicked them out of the World Cup.

I really would like to see a US/England rematch at some point in this World Cup.

All hell is breaking loose in college football. Where will Texas end up? I'm pretty sure the Big 12 is dead. What is unfortunate about all of this conference consolidation is that it is the exact opposite of what they should be doing. They are just lumping more of the bigger schools together rather than addressing teams like Boise State (which should be their focus).

Other things:

Texas A&M is a wild card.

I feel bad for Waco (Baylor) right now.

I hope they call the PAC-16 the South Western Conference (SWC).

I foresee the Kansas Jayhawks being left out of this. How crazy is that? They know conference affiliation applies to basketball too right?

Yeah, I'm fine with them retroactively punishing USC, but punishing the current team for crimes committed by past players seems excessive. The only punishment I really think should happen is Bush losing his Heisman. The current Trojans deserve better.

No chance of this happening. Some sort of conference realignment will happen (and A LOT of money will be made), but I see no reason for them to destroy the Big 12. Whatever happens the University of Texas, especially, is going to make a ton of money.

This was heart breaking to watch yesterday. I don't think I've ever felt worse watching a live sporting event. The only bright spot I take from this is that it is exactly the kind big event that will finally make baseball move into the 21st century. There's no good reason to not have implemented full replay in baseball years ago (and I'm including ball and strikes in that).

JUST GET IT RIGHT.

The NBA really needs to reevaluate the level of influence referees have on games. Either that, or I need to get to Vegas ASAP!

That was just a very lazy, soft finale. The ending was very unabrasive and really had nothing to do with the rest of the show. They concluded the characters lives, but left most of the business on the island unresolved.

That crazy stuff that happened on the island? Oh, that was real and there was no reason for it. The characters just went there and a bunch of crazy, unexplained stuff happened. No biggie. Oh, and it was the best years of their lives, so years later after they all eventually died (some living almost eternally on the island), they got back together for one last after-party before going to the afterlife or whatever.

You could have ended any show with this finale (Seinfeld, Cheers, M*A*S*H, Twin Peaks, Roseanne, etc), and people would have thought it was nice, but not an ending. There was just no conclusion. “The characters eventually dieing sometime after the show ended and then going to heaven” is no ending at all. It’s just lazy.
Johnathan T. May 24, 2010, 6:09 pm
In conclusion, viewers will like the finale because they like the characters and the relationships, but ABC/the show’s creators played this one way too safe.

About Me

Hello, my name is Johnathan. It is a pleasure to meet you!

I watch entirely too much ESPN. It is a problem. In college, I got really into comic strips/webcomics. That became a problem as well.

Did I mention I was 8 feet tall and had skin like a lizard?

That's because I'm not, and it would be weird if I did.
