The NWT Pipe Band is once again putting on Robert Burns Dinner and Dance at the Elks Hall on January 28, 2012.

It looks like Bell has now turned on LTE service for Yellowknife. It is actually surprising that Yellowknife has LTE yet only a few of other places in Canada have it as well. LTE is the fastest version of 4G connectivity it seems.

It was a sad realization that I wouldn’t be able to make the 31st Folk on the Rocks. Folk is Yellowknife’s largest summer event and attracts people from all over the world and is basically a weekend long party on a beach with the backdrop of Long Lake.

Due to low water level in Great Slave Lake and the MacKenzie River, we may be looking at a late year for the ferry to go back in.
