Furniture by, Istanbul based design studio, Autoban. Talk about 'organic' each of these pieces has such a powerfully anthropomorphic, thing going on. It's pretty much breath taking in its genius. Here's more

Check out this collage work using maps by artist, Matthew Cusick.
I'm trying to figure out how one even approaches this. Do you cut up pieces of ephemera and sort them by color?
And then use the paper as you would paint, by cutting it into 'brush strokes?

I stumbled across these, vintage gem drafts over on etsy just now. Aren't they stunning? They're done with gouache ( an opaque watercolor ) on transparent tracing paper - that's what gives them that floaty quality. They're from the 40s and are around $25.00 per piece.
