Fear of Fascism, ‘Gay Agenda’ Dominate Conservative Kickoff for Midterm Elections

Mike Tea Sep 30, 2009, 3:31 pm
I know Conservative Americans look on Britain (where I am) and especially Europe as a lost cause but, forgive me, I find American right wing politics bizzare in the extreme. It is anti-rationalistic, conspiracy theory driven, and never happier than when it clearly identifies a "them" to hate and vilify. "Get them!" seems to be the rallying cry.

I live under a Socialist Government (I know the 'S' word is anathema in the US) and I enjoy greater freedoms than America enjoyed in eight years under George (who can we bomb next Lord) Bush.
