About Me
Dr. Richie Nimmo is a Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Manchester, UK. His research explores the ambiguous status of nonhumans in modern knowledge-practices and the constitution of ‘the social’ across materially heterogeneous (and inter-species) relations, systems and flows. He has recently had his first book published by Routledge, a historical socio-material analysis of dairy milk in the UK, entitled 'Milk, Modernity and the Making of the Human: Purifying the Social'.
