I think it is a mistake to block autorun on USB Portable Drives because:
1..There are so many out there
2..Problems can be blocked with the proper anti-viral software and anti spyware.
3..Some people might like to do a mirror of their hard drive to take to other locations such as the office, vacations. If it is their laptop, it would be convenient to have a usb portable drive with your OS on it.
