Kerby is a Class E6 ghost town.

Vista AntiVirus 2012, also known as Windows XP Home Security 2012 is one of the viruses/malware programs running around that masquerades as an anti-virus program.

Lone Fir Cemetery is one of Portland’s most historic (and haunted apparently,) locations.
As such is full of gorgeous head stones, and one beautiful mausoleum.
And of course, a statue dedicated to Veterans of the Civil War, the Revolution, the Spanish-American War, and the Rogue Indian Wars.

Sometimes OS X’s time and date gets out of sync with the real world, and using the option “Set date and time automatically:” doesn’t always work.
You can use this command in terminal to update it manually:
ntpdate -u
The server address can be any of the Apple Servers such as time.apple.co... Comment - Like

I had a little bit of a weird issue – Thunderbird would not delete emails from the Gmail server even though it was being told to do so. To make things even more confusing, one account worked fine, while three other’s didn’t.
I found out that the accounts need to be setup for POP access not Comment - Like

Every year there is a huge flower display of some sort in Pioneer Square. Some artists take potted plants and arrange them into patterns across the middle of the Square. Brownsmead was never a large important city like many other Oregon ghost towns such as Sumpter, Greenhorn or Shaniko.

Modern day Idanha is little more then a collection of houses and a gas station and quick stop market in the middle of nowhere these days.
Yet, if not for the political maneuverings of Portland railroad interests in the late 1800s, the town would have much more prominence then it does now.

As best as I can tell, Geneva was a very short lived town. It sits south of Grandview and is just as isolated. Perhaps a building or two still exists behind trees or under brush. Grandview is yet another town that only remains in name.

Lamonta gained a post office September, 7th, 1898, and was plated April 1905. The Post Office closed in April 1918. This is the second time I’ve been “through” Waldron. Luckily this time I was able to stop and get a couple of better pictures of the school house. Even then the road is quite dangerous to stop in as there are no turn out, and you’ll need to be on the look out for cars.

Greenhorn is Oregon’s smallest incorporated city, and also the highest at 6,300 feet. It has a full time mayor, but no “full time” residents. The town first appeared in the 1860′s but seems to haven’t to have been incorporated in 1891, nor a Post Office installed until 1902.

Mosier is a town of about 420 people between Hood River and The Dalles. The town is larger by far then it was in the mid-1800′s, but in many ways, it’s importance to Wasco County and Oregon in general is much less.

Quick Look in OS X is an awesome feature. I’m constantly using it to check out PDF files without needing to open them.
But in some environments, it doesn’t make sense or causes a huge amount of issues.
