Along with the new tree this year, I scored some vintage glass finial toppers from ebay. There's something so whimsical and fun about them, don't you think? I think I might try to make a stand for them to use as a centerpiece in the future, but for this holiday, they'll be up on the trees.

This past weekend, Jesse, Pippa and I flew to Texas for our dear friends Kellye and Steve's wedding. As an added bonus, we got to see all our friends & family back home! Since moving to Pittsburgh a few years ago, Jesse and I definitely miss Texas. A lot. Of course our family is all there, but we also miss the huge sky, expansive ranches, and cowboy vibe. We took the babe apple pickin' at Simmon's Farm yesterday; the weather was gorgeous! She was passed out the entire time in the ergo, but we consider any outing free of screaming a success. :) Plus- she still looked adorable in the pictures!

For the past 2 years I've had an HTC Touch Pro 2- it was a great phone, but it was time for an upgrade. After much debate, I went with Sprint's Epic Touch 4G... the Samsung Galaxy S II. After a week of use, I can say with confidence that it. is. amazing.

We decided to go with the Red Retro Clock from Target (it was on sale!) for the kitchen. While I wanted some of the other choices a lot more, I wasn't sold on how well they'd work in the space.
