These are historical findings, which will more than likely tick off a lot of people. So be it. I didn't write this stuff - the original authors of the articles are and shall remain intact. Glenn Beck, last year, in his Tea-Party, missed a few key, minor notes. Again: I didn't write this stuff; I l...

I put in a bit of snark, posted below: *snicker* Sorry, but a while back, I came across an article titled 13 Halloween Costumes That Have No Business B...

Evolution of the Cell Phone - My Journey

the_kcar posted an article on - May 19, 2010, 9:12 am
As I started writing, I discovered that I would wind up monopolizing the page, so I took my reply from Evolution of the Cell Phone: For Better or Worse? and pasted it here. Me, I rather find that the improvements in technology are tremendously better than the way we handled things, "back in the ...

I'd rather know, and I'd rather they know

the_kcar posted an article on - Apr 1, 2010, 6:59 am
While reading To Know or Not to Know, That is the Question, I figured that the topic deserved more than "I'd rather they know" as a response - so here goes. The question posted was: Are you open with your parents? Does your relationship with your parents affect how you behave or think about sex?...

I didn't know what else to name this post, so I'll start off with what inspired me to write [as I incorporate pix from the original post, Cher Was the Original Lady Gaga...And She Did It Better. I won't go heavy into material - I'll let the readers, should they choose to do so, follow up on my post...

If I could turn back time...

the_kcar posted an article on - Mar 26, 2010, 2:20 am
I read a Datingish article, Would Mommy Have Changed Her Mind If She Could See the Future? and found that, once again, my response was so damned huge it would have taken over the page...so I dragged it here. Hmmm...not just the article, but also the comments have given me much mental fodder to con...

The struggle to perceived adulthood

This in response to The pain of parenthood, with all respect intended. You commented on my post, and, as a matter of politeness, I came over to read your post. As I got to writing, I came to the realization that I had gone into overdrive - so, as is my habit, I wrote a post, instead - rather than ...

I don't just post ramblings as a guest on others' sites, or fix electronics, or rescue cats - sometimes, I read outside social impact articles, geek 'zines, and other materials - it's good to exercise the brain cells sometimes. A while back, I wrote about Evolution of the Cell Phone - My Journey a...

I went over to whitetrashpoet's blog, Death panels.,and - although I'm not one for watching vids often, I saw that it was an Olbermann piece - so I watched it. As Olbermann related his tale about his father,I couldn't help but reflect and remember my Gran. Olbermann's father,  ...

the_kcar posted an article on - Dec 31, 1969, 7:00 pm
While scanning through my regular Xanga mail, I happened across a friend's blog, and started writing a regular reply. As I was writing my comment on Mike's blog, Featured Grownups: July Topics ,  I decided that I'd be taking up too much valuable real estate on his site, so I moved things over here,...

About Me

The '83 Dodge Aries, K-series is a temperamental machine, wired completely backwards, a mechanical nightmare that saved lots of asses (specifically, Chrystler, from out of financial ruin)...short on horsepower but got where it was going...quite a dodge, it was....never been much seen in a long time. Temperamental little bitch she was, too - worked prettymuch when it wanted to, though was great for A to B and reliable in its own right...

C'est moi. Temperamental, yet reliable. Short on power but long on saving peoples' backsides when called for. And yes, quite a dodge :P
