Of the personal blogs written by fashion fanatics, this is one of the better ones: a nice tone, a sense of openness, and a bit of fashion obsession to keep it all lively.

I value what our team has done with Lucire’s ‘Insider’ blog. We have managed to stay relatively trivia-free, preferring not to insult readers’ intelligence, while providing fairly regular updates. We’ll never be as personal as the personal blogs, but I feel we strike a good balance. Unlike some bloggers reviewing their own sites, I won’t give us 10 out of 10, but I think we have done a good job.

Clever. Callie Cline exists in Second Life, a world which I have not participated in, but it’s clear that her creator has spent plenty of time paving the way and making a successful go of it. I’m a little old-fashioned so I didn’t like the all-lowercase entries but it’s an interesting glimpse into a virtual world.

Not sure why this scored below an 8 initially at Blogged. Shiny Little Things has regular updates, accessible information, to-the-point shopping tips, and I can see it working on the web and on mobile devices.

From one of the early dot-coms, Focus on Style’s blog has good shopping tips. Sharon Haver knows what she is talking about.

Compared with the other blogs in this index, this is not one of the more regularly updated, though its writer provides plenty of shopping links and style advice (points for that). I can’t agree with the earlier reviewer with her 10 out of 10, as there has been little customization beyond the standard Blogger template, and others have put more work into theirs.
