Now here is one of the many golf sites that has over done it on content on the front page. Way too much information to digest and that is before you go inside the site to look around. There is some real good content in this site, but most people will click off this monster before they see it. The site is need of a Major design overhaul. Look forward to seeing what Tony does with the site in the future.

Site needs a major overhaul to bring it into the realm of Web 2.0 design and user friendliness. Has some good content but plays too much towards flashing sex fashion to draw views which is working against golf sites who use sexy models as bait since it places them as not being serious about the sport.

Like so many of the Blogger sites, this site has great content but has a miserable theme and design. There is a lot of good writing on this site but it is being pass over quickly by golf fans due to the site's design.

As one of my contemporaries in golf blogging world this site comes close to being really good. The only downside is the design...very Google Blogger looking. The design could utilize the screen space better...but over all, I like my friend's site very much.

This golf site gets close with providing what golfers are looking for but on the most part misses the opportunity to be part of the blogging community with having too many guest bloggers that do not interaction with their viewers or comments or check out their viewers blogs. The site screams out "Please look at me, but don't ask me to look at you" attitude. That is working against this site BIG TIME. Lots of good content...a little overwhelming at a time...too long winded of blogs for viewers to read in a timely fashion. Again, a toned down more open design would help this site secure a solid following.

This is another one of my contemporaries in golf blogging world. This site comes the closet to being the perfect golf blogging site. Very clear and not cluttered but offers a lot to read. The design is a little tone dead in color but overall the only improvement with the site would be to provide Headline Titles with short excerpts under the titles so a viewer can scan the titles to pick out the post that interests them without having to scroll down the screen.

This site is one of the most read golf blogs but is also the least involved in being a part of the golf blog community. The biggest negative for this site is its strong ties to SBNation. However, if that association was severed then the site would stand a huge chance of being the perfect golf blog. It comes close to having a perfect design for a golf blog. Lots of good content, photos and other related stories on golf. It keeps the commercializing of the ads to a minimum but they are still there. Hopefully WR will see it can stand alone and drop the non-golfer associations.

Here is a very simple but yet golf blog that is well designed. Its weakness is in the content and the way it is displayed. The type makes the content look like it is a print advertisement. It is good to see golf blog sites go for designs that are simple just manages the screen space effectively.
