Sounds to me like the official wanted his name in the spotlight... I think he jumped the gun putting them on the clock.

Absolutely not! Mr. Paramore determined the outcome of the match. They were the final group and were certainly not holding up other groups. Paramore sharpened his pencil on that particular rule. He should be put off the clock!!! Tiger, more than likely, would have won. (speculation only) We will never know what may have happened now. An official of any sport should never use their authority to determine the outcome of any thing, especially when so much money is on the line.

I didn't even know you could be put on the clock in golf.

There are times when groups should be put on the clock. This should not be due to two or three bad shots on one hole. I really have no idea why they would have put the final pairing on the clock unless the official was pressured on getting them in prior to 6pm. This indeed put pressure on Paddy; however, I don't believe he would ever blame his three bad shots on that.

I felt the action of official was un called for. Networks have been know to stay with an event like this in the past.Iit looked like it had an affect on Harrington. My man won but still felt sorry for the other golfer. It was a good match until that hole.
