I was shocked when I heard about this trade. I don't understand what the Pirates are doing. Nate McLouth was one of the shining stars for the Pirates. Sure they sold high, but they'll never be a good team if they keep giving away their best players. Just last year they gave away Jason Bay and Xavier Nady for basically nothing. Maybe there's a well-reasoned plan for their future that I'm just not seeing because all I see is them continuing to be the worst team in the National League Central.
