Eric Schmidt, Chief Executive Officer of Google, stated that more advertisements are likely to appear with its mobile applications on smartphone devices. Schmidt said that iPhone, Android, and other smartphone users should expect to see application monetization. I just bought the above model of the Magellan GPS to compare with the Garmin nuvi. I'm furious to discover that there are advertisements that appear at random times on the map screen. "Best Western Rewards, get 1500 points". This just started to appear at random times on the map screen, then disappear in a minute or two. I can't find a way to disable this. If Garmin did this ...
