On January 6th the Snowcat Alleycat will go off for the second year in Ionia MI. The entry fee is free, and the event promises to be a challenge no matter what. Weather permitting, it’s about a 25 mile course but last year a winter snow storm radically changed the plans as checkpoints became inaccessible and the city shut down. The race of course continued, and will again this year.

Seems like a slightly useless statement, but that's why I like it. Although it may have some liability implications if somebody actually does die. It could swing both ways. Are we acknowledging that our event is dangerous and there is a high risk of dying? Or are we forewarning people and letting them know that there is a high risk of dying?
