Progress is slow, but most of the new bits and pieces needed for the rebuild have arrived. I think I've decided to take the frame/fork to Mesquite for powder coating, but haven't had a chance to make that trip yet. Maybe next week.
Need to get out to the garage and start cleaning the old parts...

Until a week and a half ago, I hadn't been on my road bike since some time in August. I hadn't stopped riding, I just stopped riding my road bike in favor of mountain bikes. And strangely enough, I spent most of my time on a single speed. And it was awesome ... . And working on my swimming form. And worrying about HR's and training volume. Yep, the tri-geek is back.

While I love frobs and gizmos just as much as the next geek, the whole Black Friday Blitz thing is not my style at all. I'm going to attempt to get excited make things for Christmas. I can bake. I have hand tools. I am deft with the soldering iron. I'll figure something out.

... portable espresso maker is for you. Completely human-powered, all you need are some boiling water and a couple of pre-filled coffee pods. Fill it with boiling water, and pump it up like a bike pump to your preferred pressure. I couldn’t get it to produce a decent crema, but the taste was perfectly acceptable for coffee in the wilds.
