by mwilden As it happens, I have a Crown Royal bag I used for Scrabble tiles. I'll give it a shot with Carcassonne. The one thing I was thinking of is that if you stack the tiles face down, then it's easy to see just how many are left. As a rank noob, I don't know how much of an issue that is when they're in a bag. Thanks for the replies, everyone.
