... favorites, along with 'Where the Wild Things Are'. I don't remember much of this book except that it was one of those sort that makes one think the author has been in the garden a little ... the moon, and so he stacked all sorts of things into his treehouse, or somethign like that.
I can't remember the name of the book, nor the author, nor the name of the boy, I'm sorry X_x

My little sister has just turned 6 years old and loves reading. She likes the typical stories about anthropomorphised animals and teddies going on adventures and exciting things happening, and doesn't like anything too scary or sad.
The thing is that she has the reading age of an 11 year old so books aimed at her age range are far too babyish for her to read, but books that are at her ...

Next job... teacher?
Well, that job ends quickly, probably after it's discovered Yogi has no teaching degree. Oh, and the "Human Biology" you see on the side? That's my textbook from college, used to hold the book flat against the scanner!
One more job to go, and it's the biggest, longest one yet... next time!

... a great deal of information but not so much detail that it is overwhelming to a younger reader.
This book covers architecture, the history of sculpting, the wacky interesting art in today ... ;t ever seen Jeff Koons' Balloon Dog but this book includes it (and I found a picture for your education). Take a look:
