I have cords running allover my carpet because the original jacks in most places didn't have two coax cable outlets on them, just the one like that is used with cable. All my HD-DVR require that I have two cables going to them for the dual tuner. Is there a box yet or any way that I can only have one coax going into my HD-DVRs?

In a lossy coax the lost energy is, I suppose, heating up the dielectric.
To try to visualize that I stripped off 30 cm of dielectric from an old

... such ovens are not heated ), but what is wrong in this test ? how does it
differ from the dielectric heated in an actual operating lossy cable ?
