I heard that a 2008 CRF450R head will fit on my 2006 CRF450R. I also heard that the 2006 stock cam and cam tower will work with the 2008 Head. Only reason I would do this is I heard the 2008 Head actually would work better on my 2006 than just getting a replacement 2006. I have to replace the entire head (but not the cam tower) due to a valve breaking and blowing out the engine. Some concerns ...

I changed the main jet from 178 to 182 and lowered the clip down one notch on the needle. I took it out for a ride and it is impressive. Plenty of hp and smooth as silk.
