When we first meet Dorian Gray in the second chapter of the novel, his soul is pure and unspoiled. He meets Lord Henry Wotton ... now, and it still sings to me. When I first read the book, I felt terribly sorry for Dorian whose life had been so promising, but was so thoroughly wasted. I was very angry with Lord Henry and blamed him for ...

I bought Dorian Gray the other day, started reading it and I'm loving it so far. It amazes me how much Dorian is affected by Harry's words - after all, Harry's only saying it to see the reactions of Dorian. Oh well, I ...

1945’s Picture of Dorian Gray is a fascinating and at times, a disturbing watch for me. As someone who considers herself a rather unflappable mature adult, I still shudder a little at the suggestion that a painting (the original being haunting enough in its own right) manifesting and representing the depravity of a human soul

This was my second time reading Wilde’s magnum opus, and it stands up well to a second reading. Wilde writes fiction in a lush, heady manner, immersing the reader in the aesthetics he espouses via his characters. There is so much talent put into this it is insane. However, despite all this, I still can’t entirely fall into this book; I always remain at the edges, far too alert for my own good ...

Howdy y'all...sorry about the lack of posts but Ive been super busy setting up the new house and readying the baby's room (he's coming soon!!) Today I picked up my Dorian Gray box from the RHINO Gallery and discovered that it had been chosen to receive an award of merit, hooray for me! Seems to have stirred a lot of interest, I think I'll keep submitting stop-mo for shows...

... (or middle) tied back neatly into the main story. It's unpredictable, but maybe somebody paying more attention, or someone a bit quicker, might be able to predict it somewhat. Also, part of it might be getting references -- I wouldn't have understood the Dorian Gray subplot much if I didn't know the story of Dorian Gray.
