Because the vacuum cleaner repair shop has a refurbed Dyson for cheap (at least, cheap as far as Dysons usually run). Dysons are really awesome cleaners and even a refurbed one will make me happy, so I can't wait to snag it. Yay for tomorrow being payday! But for now, back to the pen and paper. ...

... . Her little head with one ear had been smiling at me from my sewing table for three weeks! Listened to some Lyle Lovett while stitching on that second ear and constructing the body, then switched to who else but Elvis Costello? The result was lots of little threads and bits on my carpet. You can keep your Dysons. I prefer this snazzy little number. Quiet, efficient, and ecologically sound!

I’ve always loved James Dyson’s inventions.  He’s most famous for his vacuum cleaners (most recently he’s develop a hoover than is a ball and so can go round corners).  Here he intrroduces his latest product, the bladeless air multiplier fan.  It uses a system of low pressure area and suction device in the bottom to create a smooth, continuous flow of air.
