John Tesh doesn't try to be cool or hip or trendy. If anything, he revels in his geekiness.
His spirited performance Wednesday — Veterans Day — before just over 1,000 people at UTEP's Magoffin Auditorium was a celebration of all that's geeky about him. That's not a knock.
He rapped, badly, about fathers of teenage daughters, of which he is one. He tried a few hip-hop dance ...

On Monday, Oct. 26, comedic rapper MC Chris performed at Tonic Lounge with opening acts I Fight Dragons and Whole Wheat Bread for one of the single nerdiest events to grace a stage in Reno.
I Fight Dragons, a Nintendo-rock group from Chicago on their first tour kicked off the night, sparing no expenses to emphasize

...or more specifically the geeky humour of theology. Since I'm snowed under with college work just now, this is me cheating slightly with a sort-of thingstoclick post.
Anyway, I was introduced to this video which slightly takes the mick out of John Piper... I'm sure you'll have seen it before, but I find it pretty funny.
And just to keep you going, Ben Myers (who always has ...

Plato is not just a lover of wisdom, but a Pegasus is also a real animal. When Jonah was reciting a paragraph about a Pegasus I explained that is was a pretend animal – a horse with wings.
“No, it’s not a pretend animal. It’s a winged horse that pulled a chariot up into the sky.”

I’m looking forward to trying out a bunch of the new releases (especially Dungeon Lords – which looks like a boardgame version of Dungeon Keeper, the ...

These cheap and cheerful glasses are from asos.com but you can make some pretty geeky finds in flea markets as well. Just make sure the glasses have clear glass, or adjust the specs to your own eye sight in the optitans. Otherwise you might get dizzy feeling and eye distortions... ...

... all the signs of imminent HDD failure. :S Should I? I just Kuro changed ONCE this year. SeaGates suck. And no, before you think it, I’m pretty sure it’s not a PSU failure. The decision to get SeaGate is biting me back badly now.

Ah, DC comics. Your shameless marketing ploy has succeeded in sucking me in once again.
I was about to discontinue picking up the "secondary" comics of Blackest Night focusing on particular heroes. (For example, "Blackest Night: Wonder Woman"; "Blackest Night: Blue Beetle" etc.,etc.). Then my local comics store owner told me that DC is handing out free plastic power ...

My favorite part from the debate yesterday. I actually think that health care should deal with the wrongful malpractice suits that get filed every year, and the way that they affect insurance rates. Maybe imposing stricter guidelines on what does and doesn't constitute an actionable offense? I don't know. However, when people like Idiot Cantor (R-VA) argue that the only way to fix ...
