Here's another photograph from the Life collection (which you can search here). This is the founder of Pakistan, Mohammed Ali Jinnah. He was, like Gandhi and Nehru, a London-educated barrister. The photo was taken in 1943 by William Vandivert. Jinnah would become Pakistan's first leader on August 15, 1947, and he would die thirteen months later from tuberculosis and lung cancer.
