... , its similarity to Marilyn Manson’s “Beautiful People” is somewhat unappealing.
Desperate Living is an album that you NEED to pick up. If you are not used to experimental or mathcore bands, it might take a few listens to really get into it (or not-you may jump right in and love it). Overall, HORSE The Band has managed to develop a whole new style of metal and one that should ...

... it. After them was Five Star Prison Cell, a band I love to watch but can't listen to for longer than a song or two because their time-signature free, 100-riffs-in-two-minutes, zero-melody mathcore spazz-metal attack always threatens to make my brain explode. So I headed outside and caught up with a few people including the singer for one of my favourite ever bands who was already quite pissed ...

... started, and pushed it further, deeper, harder, faster. Converge used it to fuck everything and everyone in their way.
Converge’s prominence in the early years of mathcore has also given them another legacy for us to be thankful for. They took hardcore – a genre that’d previously been content to plough the same furrows till it hit bedrock – and helped instill it with a ...

Into The Storm have the unfortunate pleasure as being known as a Post-Metal / Mathcore band which really puts people off. Lets face it, the style has been kicking a dead horse for years but bands like this are breathing new life into that horse and while Post-Metal might be a handy tag to put on them, they are offering up more than the usual outfit in this genre and they actually sound fresh. They ...

... , NC power trio Ahleuchatistas‘ (pronounciation tip : the name comes from the Charlie Parker song “Ah-leu-cha”) fifth full length called Of the Body Prone is hands down the best mathcore/improv album this year to grace your speakers, and it might be the most balanced of their full buffet. Ahleuchatistas takes math rock’s erratic features to extreme levels while retaining ...

... from a great new indie Brit-pop band. They're rockin' the old-school Beatles sound, and it really pops. We're also talking to hardcore, emocore, slowcore, grindcore, sadcore, metalcore and mathcore bands.
Oops, there's a text from the wife on my iPhone! I've sooo gotta bounce to Whole Foods with my fellow foodies to pick up some things. Man, the last time I was in that ...

... Die. True to its title, it sounded like someone gutting himself in front of you. Guitars and vocals stood in for rusty blades. In today's generation of bands fusing everything -core (mathcore, grindcore, hardcore) with sludge, noise, and whatever else is on the iPod — see Trap Them, Ed Gein, and Premonitions of War, to name a few — Gaza are perhaps the most "extreme." ...

Enough of posting relaxing music. This band is one of my favourite when it comes to mathcore, and this is their new album. Excellent aggressive lyrics and riffs. Very similar to Converge, Dillinger Escape Plan (in their older albums) and Botch. Fans of the scene will enjoy this a lot. If you like them go and buy their cds.
