HURLEY — Iron County’s tax levy for 2010 shows a 4.92 percent increase from $3,810,033 in 2009 to $3,997,480.
That equates to property owners paying $3.92 per $1,000 valuation, according to county clerk Mike Saari. That number is up from last year’s figure of $3.76 per $1,000 valuation. Full Story

Midtown lost another two much loved personalities recently. Michael Ronis, the founding Chef of Carmine’s and Virgil’s, passed away last Thursday from brain cancer; and Mike Levy, a weekly regular at Ben Benson’s for the past twenty years, also passed away from cancer. Our thoughts go out to their families and friends.
