Due to Thanksgiving and having our household plumbing completely redone this week, a shorter than usual Mishmash:
Book Of Love — Candy Carol. A quasi-psychedelic synthpop suite, Book Of Love’s 1991 album Candy Carol netted the Alternative Radio hit “Alice Everyday” but was otherwise snowed over in a marketplace that increasingly preferred the morose likes of Pearl Jam to ...

That's what I feel my life is like lately. A pleasant but somewhat anxiety-provoking mishmash of daily activities. Trying to fit the unpleasant and mundane around the enjoyable and memorable...

Because I have mommy-brain, I know I should write these things down. Because I have mommy-brain, I forget to take the time or I am too fatigued to do so. But I think I can manage a top 10 list ...

I've been eating like crazy and here are some yummy photos! =]
Cheryl and I eat at Jack's Place two Saturdays ago and they gave us green pea soup and green garlic bread.
The garlic bread was ok but the green pea soup just tasted weird. I like green peas. But green peas in soup - not so good. Furthermore, they added some weird carnation milk or coconut cream in the soup. I did not ...

Ever get the feeling no matter what you do, you're screwed?
That's how it's been lately. I won't go into details, but life ain't been "no crystal stair" lately, to quoth Langston Hughes. HOWEVER, I do want to say that I know how very blessed I am. I have my husband and my boys and my parents and many other wonderful things and things will be fine in the long run ...

For you legions of folks who rely on this blog for your exclusive news, information, gossip, and the occasional weather report, my inactivity over the last few days must have left you scrambling around in a state of ignorance and confusion on current events (and whether or not you'll need a coat). I assure all of you (both of you) that I do take my internets responsibility seriously, and I ...

I threw together a batch of titles that's a mishmash of movies I hold dear that I feel more people should see, some that I feel deserve reassessment, & some movies that were once well-liked but no longer seem to be particularly fashionable nowadays.
Medium Cool
Cul-de-Sac
Crimson Gold
Opening Night
Klute
Sunday Bloody Sunday
Poison
The Stunt Man
Performance
Damnation
The Ruling ...

1. Oprah. Yeah. Whatever. Go ahead and pretend that you're not sad about Oprah's show ending. I'm man enough to pretend like I don't care about your insensitivity. I'm ignoring you. Well, kinda. On the one hand I see all of the news surrounding Oprah's announcement and it makes me giggle. Not because I'm laughing at O. Oh, no. I think you know how I feel ...

I don't see the expense for Cora as unreasonable, but he's got a mishmash of useful features, batting lefty, playing a solid middle infield, the little man's suite of offensive weapons, and a satisfactory walk rate. As someone likely to get his share of work in at second during Luis Castillo's rest breaks and as a better temporary replacement for Jose Reyes at short than most of ...

My mother and I had a long telephone conversation this afternoon. She remembered that she was 17 years old when Pearl Harbor was attacked. Her "young adulthood" was taken up by World War II.
Memories of those days came back to her yesterday as she watched a television program that centered on many of the songs of that time. As music often does, the songs tapped many of Mom's ...

EVERYBODY DREAMS.
For some people, dreams are but a mishmash of thoughts and feelings from throughout their day. Others claim they can predict the future. Some even believe dreams are not a thing, but a place. They believe that we share a mental link that allows us to travel to another world and meet others who are dreaming.
BUT WHAT IF YOU ENDED UP STUCK IN THIS PLACE?
One night you were in ...

Today's blog...just some things I found interesting amusing...
On 30 Rock Thursday night, a few of the guys made up a religion (verdukianism). Kenneth and Tracy discuss religion when Kenneth buys them a bunch of pizza:
Kenneth: Tonight is the verdukian holiday of mouth pleasures. Misters Rossitano, Spurlock, and Lutz must have free sausage pizza followed by some gentle flossing performed by ...

Man, when looking at the dates on these photos I've yet to post, I realize just how far behind I am. On the other hand, we haven't been taking nearly as many photos of Lucas as we used to--for instance, there was a 12 day stretch without a picture in November--so I guess if I were to catch up, there may be nothing to look forward to. Or maybe it would encourage me to take more photos? Eh, ...

My apartment has achieved Christmas! (Yes, Castiel is back atop my tree. Traditions are important.)

Dear Neal & Peter,
God, would you just make out, already???

I am...let's say deeply philosophically opposed...to the entire Idol oeuvre. (Sorry, Sebastian Pigott! If it's any consolation, I'm really enjoying your fledgling acting career! * ...

Went to get blood tests around 11am yesterday as did everyone else so I had to wait awhile. Luckily got a really nice and really good phlebotomist. Very thankful for that. Turns out I have to go back and have the 3rd one drawn before 8am and fast again :P Guess I'll wait a week or two for that one. Went to the Apple Store and they told me that we are correct, it is hte hard drive but only ...
