I think semiotics deserves a sub-forum. Charles Sander Peirce and Ferdinand de Saussure, those who came after and those who came before. I have been thinking and reading about this stuff lately and would appreciate opportunities for insightful discussion. (References to Dan Brown's fiction would be discouraged unless absolutely relevant.)
