... is folded acting like one buttonhole. They are used for the button that shows on the front of the skirt.
The other buttonhole is also in the waistband, but is not visible from the front. It ends up behind the pleated ... a lightweight black pinstripe wool that drapes beautifully.
I wanted to line this skirt, but couldn't wrap my brain around how to do so without adding unneeded bulk at that ...

I'm pretty new at this and have a question about my black skirt tetras. I have 3 of them and all of them just hang out at the bottom of the tank. When I feed them they won't go to the top to feed, they wait till the flakes fall down in front of them, then they snag them. When I turn the lights off they will swim a few inches higher but still mostly stick to the bottom.

So out comes the black sharpie and following some advice to outline ... front of me checking to see if I needed to add more to the front of the skirt pattern...but it was okay. It fit! Even with the piece ...

2) Cut a skirt piece that is about twice the measurement of your waistband, and however long you want it to be. Mine is 25" long ... bottom. (see second photo)
8) Sew the open ends of your skirt together, with right sides facing each other, and your done!
I love it as a high-waisted skirt, with the waistband ...
