Or am I even allowed to still refer to the USMC? Shopkeepers on Cafepress and Zazzle, many of whom are veterans and military family members, were dealt quite a blow yesterday. The Marine Corps has now trademarked many of their symbols and the actual words Marines, U.S. Marine Corps, USMC and a few others. Basically good luck on making any sort of design where it can be worded in a way ...

G'day All
Here's a USMC Peak Cap that I'm not sure about as it has differing wool material to the normal WW2 type.
I may buy this one in the future,
so your input on this will be greatly appreciated, and a guesstimate on what it's worth.

Some more from the birthday of the United States Marine Corps.
On November 10, 1775, Captain Samuel Nichols was authorized by Congress to form two battalions of Continental Marines.
During the Civil War, the Marines played a moderate role, mostly blockade duty. About half of the officer corps resigned and started the Confederate States Marine Corps.
A Battalion of Marines was hastily formed ...

I got my first copy of 782 Gear today, which was a labor of love (aren't they all), for the last few years. This is a companion piece to my "DUNGAREES AND FROGKSKIN" of 2005. 782 Gear is an indepth study of the field gear issued to and worn by the Marine Corps in WWII. Specifically those pieces made for and only issued to the Marine Corps, including each of the M1941 pack ...

Well shit.
I took a voluntary discharge from the USMC recruit pool Thursday due to the knee injury. Turns out that right now, the Corps has a high number of people, so they are actively in the process of trying to push people out. Due to shitty run times and the knee injury, I was one of the folks slated for discharge unless I passed a strength test next week. Normally, I'd say, " ...
