The main industry was grape vinyards. Along the mountain sides, they had carved them out and planted vinyards all over the mountains. We walked along this path and took more pictures.

Why is it that every smart person I know has investments in foreign countries? From buying Australian dollars, to Argentinian vinyards, to Brazilian farms, it seems I am not the only one seeing the writing on the wall.

Only a little behind now... although still kinda cheating these are all from this last weekend (and a friend technically took one :) ) This last weekend was a passport day for the santa cruz mountains wine growers association. We got together with good friends that we haven't seen in too long and went to Loma Prieta, Burrell School, Black Ridge Vinyards and Testarossa.

... Island beach in Florida makes you feel alive as you run along trying to avoid the waves chasing your feet. Running along the tree lined Canal du Midi and through the deserted vinyards around Beziers in the South of France was amazing, going for ten miles without seeing another soul. He said that he owns land, and its not uncommon to have lions and elephants and buffalo intruding and sometimes eating up the crops. So in paradise he looks forward to having his own land free of disturbance!!! ...
