Loving Calera; Loving Limestone; but not the Chardonnay

On the nose it smells decent enough. I will admit in this area I am a bit lacking this ... from the wife and a below average from me....even by sub 5 dollar wine standards. And once again...maybe it could be to my sinus condition.

I was curious how this Domaine held up. A reasonably priced wine, it cost about $25 when I purchased this in 2001. It was a bit ... time to mellow over the years. The tannins have softened, and the wine has morphed into a wonderful treat.

Shit-de-merde! This wine is all Brett, all the time. Unless you have an aversion to the flavors and aromas of actual wine, it is best to stay away. Only the most jaded fruit and floral aroma haters need apply.
Based on this one dimensional sensory profile I guessed France, and from there the Rhone.

Obviously this wine is young and should be drank young since the lack of tannins will not allow it to age well. ... sweeter items on the Thanksgiving dinner table. Pick up a bottle and try if for yourself, it is very affordable at $9.99. This is not a wine I would drink everyday, but a couple of times a year is always fun!
