This blog is titled House Renovation Tips... and does include some articles about repairs etc. But much of the blog seems to be focused around magazine style pictures of designer and showcase style rooms. Not pictures of renovations. Disappointing.

I am always in deep trouble and delight when I visit Apartment Therapy Blog! This blog is so full of ideas I will never need to purchase a decorating magazine again. Well maybe one or two still need to come home with me... but I get so many ideas just diving right into this blog from anywhere and never finding a place to stop.........

Some really nice photos and information... but after spending 10 minutes on the site... I still couldn't get a feel for what the blog was really about. A design focus was not visible. And... the biggest frustration? Many article with the before pictures and a promise for after pictures soon. So frustrating.

Maybe it's the beautiful design of the entire site... or maybe it's because I am in the dreaming and designing phase of a kitchen reno... but I found this site perfect. The articles are written as stories and the ideas are charming. Filled with great Kitchen ideas and information! Perfect!

Only if your a fan of mid-century. This site is well thought out and filled with a ton of ideas. As I am not a mid-century modern interior design fan... it's amazing that I stayed on the site for more than a few seconds. But... the colors and images mixed in with fun, easy to read stories... always make my day. Thanks for all your hard work.

I have to admit... I'm biased. As a guest author on the site... of course this would bump up my rating a bit. But... I am pretty picky about who I write for... The ideas that are showcased on this site are amazing. The fact that most of the materials that are used on this site can be easily located is pure heaven. Imagine seeing a great photo of a room you would like to copy to some degree... and not being able to find similar products to use in your own room design? You will never have that problem on Design Talk... they show you just where to find all the products shown in the pictures. How cool is that?

If you're into shabby chic or shabby chic then this site has lots... I mean a ton of great pictures. The site isn't organized so you just have to scroll through and see what is interesting. The pictures are tiny... but every one of them can be clicked to get a better view. Many of the pictures are of store displays, which isn't a realistic view of objects in a home... but their are a lot of photos that show vignette's and home displays of great old stuff.
